Biogen Idec Summer Internship Program 2007

Biogen Idec offers a summer internship program for students in all life science disciplines as well as non-science opportunities such as finance and marketing. Our college internship program is designed to offer opportunities to students who are interested in exploring the biotech industry and a career at Biogen Idec. Through hands-on work experience we offer a supportive, collaborative teaching environment aimed at assisting students to develop their skills and identify their career goals. We seek students who are interested in building a long-term relationship with Biogen Idec.

Through our internship program, we offer students the opportunity to come inside the doors of one of the largest biotech companies in the world – learn first-hand how teamwork, collaboration and commitment to providing the best service to our patients – has helped drive our company to success.

Requirements/Information:

  • Interns must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States under the laws of Immigration and Naturalization Service.
  • Interns must be available to start in June and continue for 10-12 weeks through August.
  • All lab positions require completion of either basic or advanced science courses or experience in laboratory practices.
  • At the conclusion of the program, interns will also be asked to fill out a brief survey about their experience at Biogen Idec.
  • No relocation or housing assistance will be provided.

Opportunities are available for both science and non-science assignments and will vary per Biogen Idec location. Typically, opportunities exist in the following areas:

Research: Biochemistry, Immunology, Oncology and Molecular Biology
Regulatory Affairs
Manufacturing Operations
Cell Culture/Purification
HR/Legal
Finance/IT
Marketing
Business Development
