Provide compensation support and guidance to management and HR Staff for the Commercial organization. Responsible for supporting the design, and development of Biogen Idecs sales incentive plans as well as supporting associated implementation and communication strategies. This job performs a pivotal role in the area of variable pay design and will be a conduit between various internal departments, including Finance, Decision Support, and Field Sales.
Also includes analyzing competitive compensation levels and administering total compensation programs effectively. Develop timely recommendations that incorporate market data, internal equity analysis, pay level, FLSA, and other salary action approvals. Successfully advocate the company’s compensation philosophy, plans, incentive and equity programs. Support the organizations’ compensation planning cycles and other major projects, etc.
Prior experience in sales compensation design and analysis with strong quantitative and analytical skills and strong electronic worksheet competencies. Preferred 5-7 years compensation experience. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong listening/influencing skills. A high degree of confidentiality is required. Must have ability to exercise diplomacy, good judgment and discretion. Ability to interface effectively internally and externally. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail is required. Software skills include Lotus Notes, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Project.
